Ten Years After : The Good, The Bad And The Happily Ever After ...

Ten years after: The good, the Bad and the Happily Ever After

Sometime back when I was a little girl, I vowed that I will marry a tall dude, just so that my kids aren’t as brief as I am.
Same time, I also wanted a fun marriage, I also once thought I would want to have an early start in marriage, just so that I get over the mummy business early and enjoy myself.
I always had dreams, amazing country home, to die for hubby and fabulous kids, did I get all of these?
Fast forward to April 18, 2014, I celebrate a decade of falling in and out of love, drunk and sober in love, staying in love against all odds.
What kept Adeolu and Adetola together?
Faith. Family. Friends.

Faith in God: God loves us and wants the best for us, our faith in Him sustained the union. We have had so many not-so-pleasant times, during those moments, faith in His word kept us and constantly speaking His word into my marriage was a weapon that worked.
I remember when I cried out to God, I was desperate for a renewed marriage, I told Him how lost I was without His love in our hearts, that night, I felt a loving arm around me, Yes ! God healed my home.

Faith in our Love: When I said Yes, I knew I truly loved Adeolu and I knew he did. Only true love could have kept us till date as we both always want to have the last word. And the last word still remains LOVE.

Family: After all, everyone has a family and everyone's family has a story to tell. Our story cannot be complete without our families. We both come from large family units and they have been such a pillar to us.
Every one made this union stronger and better. Ours is not the ‘me and my husband” setting, but each family member sincerely wanted us to stay in love, the love and support of everyone cannot be described. We are truly blessed.
Yes, it came with challenges, but again, their sincerity and love is indescribable.

Friends: God surrounded us with many of these species, and they came in different packages.
Too numerous to be mentioned, their faith in our marriage strengthened our love. To deny their support is like saying butterflies don’t exist. God bless each
one of our friends.
Reality check, did I get the perfect, to die for hubby? My Adeolu isn’t perfect but he’s just perfect for me, created to fit and size Adetola, with no expiry date.
Amazing country home, work in progress… even Aso Rock can’t compare.

Fabulous kids? 10 years after, Two beautiful boys, what more can we ask for as they have been shining stars. And yes, they are tall dudes, just like their father.
Will I say Yes once again? I fit die on top his matter?
Yes, Over and over.

Today I celebrate our love and I can’t keep calm!
Love lifted us.
