Soji Oni is the creative director and head photographer at Soji Oni Photography. A professional photographer that is unique, rich with culture and informed by creativity,groomed in Nigeria with international exposures, meaning he's internationally known and locally respected. He's a natural storytellers - unobtrusive, playful,competent, smart and wildly observant.He hails from Nigeria, holds a BSC degree in Accounting from University of Ilorin plus a Certificate from New York Institute of Photography.He has won several awards (home and abroad ) Recently, some of his works were showcased on CNN.

Lyn- Nur : Your educational background
Command day Secondary School, Ojo, Bsc Accounting from University of Ilorin and a certificate from New York institute of Photography.
Lyn-Nur : At what point did you decide to start your own business ?
My final year at the university,i had a personal camera just to capture lovely moments and to keep memories, but lo..friends were amazed after had printed the pictures out ,then i fell in love with it as well ..the rest they say is history...
Lyn-Nur : Any formal training in photography ?
Yes,having falling in love with photography and choosing it as a career i decided to undergo a formal training
Lyn-Nur : Has there been a time you wished you were a salary earner?
NO
Lyn-Nur : Are you getting the fulfillment as an entrepreneur?
Absolutely YES !
Lyn-Nur : What were the challenges you faced at the initial stage?
starting out in photography is capital intensive, so at first it was a great challenge for me getting the right tools to work with.
Lyn-Nur : How did you overcome them?
Luckily there are companies that rent out these equipments,so i rent from them
Lyn-Nur : Advice to unemployed graduates and those willing to start their own business.
With the current situation in Nigeria,it is not easy getting job, even if you are lucky to get one,job security is not guaranteed !Therefore i implore unemployed graduates to be creative,think of what you can do for yourself,there are so many businesses that are not capital intensive,make your research ....Thank you.
