Hello everyone,
Today,i have the chance to interview a personal and darling friend of mine, Beulah Olubunmi Akingbelu, she's the CEO of of Pukka Logistics and Support Services Limited. If there's anything i admire in Beulah,it is her passion and dedication to success. She is one of those rare friends who want the best for their friends.

Please enjoy..
                                                                                   Your educational background

Background in law, HR, International Business and Management with brief stint in corporate legal practice in aviation and real estate industry.

Essentially, what does your business entail?

PUKKA is a one stop shop with a rich total package for all a foreign investor, a Nigerian or Nigerians living in Diaspora would require to start and run a business in Nigeria .
Our Services Include:

- Company Incorporation & Accreditation
- Expatriate Quota, Business Permit, Work Permit and Temporary work Permit for Aliens
- Office Space & Set up
- HR, Legal & Company Secretarial Services

At what point did you decide to establish your company

PUKKA came into existence in October, 2008 in response to the needs of Foreign investors, Nigerians and Nigerians living in Diaspora (who are not familiar with Nigeria and its business environment) to midwife the birthing of their companies and support them with all their business start up needs till they become firmly established in Nigeria

Doing business in Nigeria is often considered as tough what were the challenges you faced at the initial stage and how did you overcome them

Running a business in Nigeria is perhaps one of the toughest things to get oneself involved in.
The initial Challenges were:
- No adequate Infrastructure - This is still a problem in Nigeria, but we have gone by over the years regardless.
-Loans difficult to obtain and expensive to service - i capitalized earnings by putting back almost all monies realized from the business into the business (Self Denials).
- Few clients willing to subscribe to being serviced by an unknown brand - Services were (are) rendered efficiently and selflessly. By this, we had repeat customers and a lot of referrals
- Prospective Investors unwilling to commit funds to an "unworthy course" - I took the risk alone with my team.

How do you get your clients?

Our services require strategic marketing.

We do so through social media, strategic partnerships, referrals by satisfied clients and most importantly repeat customers.

Do you have mentors ? What have your learnt from them?

My list of mentors is endless... I've got so many of them and they inspire me in almost all areas of life. for business i have my mentors, for family life, i have them, for general well being and fashion, i have them and for spirituality, of course I've got them too. As business people, we surely need mentors.

Your advice for those who wants to start their business?

i. Don't ever nurse the fear of failing. For you either fail or have the feeling that you have failed first before you succeed.
ii. Never see any challenge as insurmountable.
iii. Set your goals and keep your eyes fixed on them
iv. Never rule your life by people's opinion about you.
  v. The best gift you can ever give to yourself is to be successful.

What should every woman try at least once in her lifetime?

Every woman must be herself. Most women wish they were some other women. That wish (even if it is just for a second) is a waste of the person you are

What gives you the greatest satisfaction?

Commendation and recommendation from a client for a service well rendered.

You are married with children, how do you balance both?

Being a wife and mum in my reckoning is equivalent to occupying the position of a Group Managing Director of a conglomerate; Combining that with Entrepreneurship just makes a magician out of you. LOl
